The world is changing fast – and so is the way we work, learn, and collaborate. At our university, you make a real difference: whether you’re developing cutting-edge IT solutions, supporting world-class research, or ensuring that our faculty’s digital environment is secure and future-proof.
In this role, three IT-related responsibilities come together: project leadership, information security, and IT support.
Your main focus will be project leadership . You will coordinate the implementation of projects with central ICTS, as well as internal projects related to hardware or software implementation. You will drive process improvements in incident and asset management. You will develop and deploy hardware (MacBooks, tablets, smartphones) and support the Information Manager in rolling out centrally initiated IT projects.
You will also have an affinity for information security and advise the data steward and researchers on data management, storage, and the safe use of applications. You will lead awareness initiatives within the faculty, conduct risk analyses, and maintain a risk registry.
As part of a small team, you will also be involved in IT support. This mainly means providing second-line support to colleagues and managing IT support tickets that relate to ongoing projects, require long-term assistance, or call for process improvements.
And there’s more: as IT becomes increasingly important within our faculty, this role offers opportunities for growth. Over time, you will be able to take on more responsibility, deepen your expertise in information security and project management, and play a central role in shaping our faculty’s digital strategy for the future.
Are you ready to make our faculty IT-proof for the future? Then we would love to meet you.
What you bring
We are not looking for a checklist of skills, but for who you are and what you contribute. Do you recognise yourself in this?
• Experience in IT support and implementation – preferably including the coordination of local projects.
• Analytical and process-oriented – you have an overview of projects and can develop work processes.
• Strong communicator – you can take people along in changes.
• Independent and structured – you work in a planned and organised way and know how to set priorities.
