Within the IT Product, Process & Data Governance department of our CAC IT department we are looking for interns in multiple areas. One of this is areas is the Initiatives & Quality Team, our team’s motto is: “If it moves, we coordinate it. If it doesn’t, we make sure it’s up to standard”
Welcome to Initiatives & Quality (I&Q) – the nerve center of strategic IT magic. We’re the bridge between brilliant business ideas and flawless technical execution. Our job is to ensure every initiative gets the right momentum, direction, and polish from idea to impact. We don’t just keep the lights on – we make sure they shine in the right color temperature and with measurable efficiency.
As an Intern, you’ll get to peek behind the curtain of enterprise IT, learn how strategy meets delivery, and help us make “organized chaos” look easy. Gain real-world experience with us and make an impact @ Mercedes-Benz!
Associated tasks & Responsibilities
Join the day to day activities of the team you are working together with (e.g. team & department meetings, Agile events). Work on the given assignment, we have assignments in the areas of:
- Strategic Initiatives:
- Assist in coordinating strategic IT initiatives from ideation to delivery — think of it as helping multiple mini start-ups thrive within a big company.
- Support senior IT enablers (that’s us!) in tracking progress, aligning teams, and keeping everyone’s charts happy.
- Gather updates, write meeting notes that people actually read, and occasionally remind others of deadlines (nicely, of course).
- Help identify dependencies and risks — because foresight beats hindsight, every time.
- Bring fresh eyes and fresh energy to make our initiative dashboards not just informative, but actually beautiful
- Quality Standards :
- Contribute to monitoring the impact of delivered initiatives — aka: “Did this really make our lives better, or just longer?”
- Help define and refine quality KPIs — we love metrics, but we love meaningful metrics even more.
- Assist in organizing post-implementation reviews (a.k.a. “project therapy sessions”) to capture lessons learned and brag-worthy wins.
- Keep documentation, reports, and process standards as neat as your favorite playlist.
- Be our detective-in-training: spot patterns, chase anomalies, and help us turn “issues” into “improvements.”
- Quality Management:
- Support our test coordinators by investigating improvement points in the area of quality and test management. Look at industry standards and combine these with findings to identify measures and implement these.
