The function

About the internship

Within the Business Intelligence Competence Centre of Mercedes benz Customer Assistance Centre, we are looking for an intern with a strong interest in Data Science and AI. The main focus will be on designing and implementing a Customer 360 graph model that links multiple dimensions such as customer contact cases, vehicle information, customer information, and related entities. Additionally, you will support Product Ownership activities within our Agile teams.

The task of the BICC department is to provide transparency to the organization with regards to the performance and quality of our contact centers, agents, dealers, MOC’s vehicles and processes as well as the satisfaction of our customers with these products and services.

The BICC team consists of: Business Intelligence & Data Science.

Associated tasks & Responsibilities:

You will join the day-to-day activities of the team (e.g., team & department meetings, Agile events) and work on the following:

Data Science & Knowledge Graphs

• Design and implement a Customer 360 Knowledge Graph
• Define relevant data points and ensure data quality aspects are addressed.
• Explore graph database technologies (e.g., Neo4j, RDF/SPARQL) and propose the best-fit architecture.
• Develop a prototype for the graph model and demonstrate how it can improve insights and decision-making.
• Investigate AI-driven use cases leveraging the graph (e.g., recommendation systems, early warning systems).

Product Ownership Support

• Assist Product Owners in day-to-day activities such as Jira documentation, feature refinement, and participation in Agile events.
• Review and improve documentation setup for products within the Sirius ecosystem using Confluence and SAFe best practices.

Requirements

Who are you?

• Studying for a Master’s degree in AI, Data Science, or a related field.
• Good communication skills; English is our corporate language.
• Analytical and design thinking mindset.
• Curious, proactive, and self-motivated.
• Available 40 hours per week for a period of 6 months (depending on university requirements).

We offer

We offer you an internship in a multicultural, dynamic, and informal international working environment:

• 6 months full-time internship, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Internship compensation, € 800,- gross per month based on 40 hours per week.
• Starting date: February/March 2026.
• The internship needs to be a part of your study program, graduates are not allowed to apply.
