Educational Coordinator with a focus on Data Management

What you do

As Educational Coordinator, you are part of a team that ensures all operational processes underlying education run smoothly, and you support staff in relation to logistical and administrative issues. You are part of the FASoS Teaching & Learning Hub, the faculty’s ‘go to place’ for teaching and learning practice. You are operating in the heart of the faculty. The Teaching & Learning Hub is committed to quality support, policy and research, and offers a platform for relevant experimentation and exploration.

The Educational Coordinator supports the FASoS programme directors. You have responsibilities in the following areas:
•  You work closely with programme directors as being part of the curriculum team(s), you are the first contact point for incoming requests on operational and data management tasks related to Bachelor or Master programmes;
•  You will be responsible for collecting and analysing relevant educational data, working closely with various colleagues within the faculty.
•  You liaise with academic staff as well as support staff of the other departments and clusters such as the Office of Student Affairs, Finance, ICT, Marketing and Communications, P&D, Research Support Office and with external partners (e.g. Student Services Centre, University Library) whenever needed;
•  You evaluate and optimize operational processes and data management;
•  You support the programme director by organizing the practical side of the curriculum such as education plans, re-accreditations and midterms.

What you bring

You are proactive and combine strong data management skills with enthusiasm for contributing to a supportive and engaging teaching and learning environment. You have strong communication skills and are able to adapt easily to different working styles and the expectations of stakeholders. You are analytical and result-oriented, able to quickly identify and address data-related issues, recognize inefficiencies, and work in a solution-focused way towards improvements. You are able to maintain overview and work effectively under pressure.

Furthermore, you bring:

•  A degree in Applied Sciences or you have reached this level in terms of experience.
•  Expertise with data: You have demonstrable experience with data-driven work and know how to apply this in your role (collecting, managing, and analysing educational data).
•  Experience with analysis tools: You are proficient in SAP, BI, MS Excel, and general statistical software such as Stata.
•  Experience with reporting: You are able to clearly present your findings to colleagues, both orally and in writing.
•  Demonstrable experience in organizing, evaluating, and optimizing processes and/or data management.
•  Experience in an educational environment is considered an advantage.
•  A good command of English and Dutch, both spoken and written.

What we offer

At Maastricht University, you’ll work in an international, open, and engaged environment. We offer:

  • A 12-month contract (0,8 - 1,0 fte) with the prospect of a permanent contract based on mutual satisfaction.
  • A gross monthly salary between €3546,00and €5538,00 (based on full-time employment of 38 hours per week). 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% year-end bonus.
  • 29 vacation days (based on full-time), four additional days off (Carnival Monday and Tuesday, Good Friday, and Liberation Day), and the possibility to accrue up to 12 extra days through compensation hours.
