We are looking for a YUFE Student Affairs Officer interested in student administration for YUFE at Maastricht University. YUFE (Young Universities for the Future of Europe) is a network of ten young, research-driven European universities working together to create a more open, inclusive, and interconnected model of higher education. Supported by the European Commission, YUFE offers students and staff cross-border learning, research, and mobility opportunities, while promoting diversity, civic engagement, and a shared European identity.
The YUFE Student Affairs Officer works on administrative tasks related to incoming and outgoing YUFE students. The YUFE student registration process is done in close cooperation with all involved colleagues, both within Maastricht University and at the other YUFE partners across Europe.
What you do
Specifically, the YUFE Student Affairs Officer works on:
• Supporting the registration and admission processes for students enrolling in the YUFE Student Journey programmes
• Issuing digital badges and rewards to YUFE students
• Coordinating and administering YUFE students’ physical exchanges (both short- and long-term) through Erasmus+
• Testing and evaluating improvements to the YUFE Virtual Campus
• Monitoring and updating the YUFE course catalogue
• Co-organising and supporting various information sessions and meetings for YUFE students
• Liaising with admissions officers across the ten YUFE partner universities and communicating with enrolled YUFE students on behalf of the Alliance
• Preparing management reports and updates on the YUFE Student Journey

The ideal candidate is a true team player and pioneer, experienced or interested in working in a pilot phase, driven by a desire to contribute to collective success as a member of the YUFE community. He/she/they is/are a motivated administrator equipped with excellent communication skills, able to effectively carry out tasks assigned to them. The successful candidate has:
• A teamplayer mentality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with a multicultural and multi-disciplinary team.
• Qualifications at MBO+/HBO level
• Pioneering spirit, enthusiastic about working in a newly set-up administration
• Experienced in student administration, preferably experienced with SAP registrations• Excellent oral and written command of the English language
• Experience with computer programs such as Outlook, Excel, Access, Canvas, Corsa and SAP.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• The ability to work with great accuracy and to handle stress and deadlines.
What we offer

• 0.4 FTE
• UFO function profile student affairs officer (Medewerker studentzaken), salary scale 8 CAO-NU (€ 2.700 to max. € 3.606 gross)
• A temporary appointment for 1 year until 30 November 2026.
• Starting date: 1 December 2025
• 29 vacation days (based on full-time), four additional days off (Carnival Monday and Tuesday, Good Friday, and Liberation Day), and the possibility to accrue up to 12 extra days through compensation hours.
