As the Open Science Trainer for Work Package 2, you will be responsible for training staff who will serve as trainers within the institution, focusing on effectively implementing Open Science (OS) principles within the Recognition and Rewards (R&R) framework. While the training materials and programme structure will be led by the project experts, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating and delivering high-quality, impactful training sessions.
This position is integral to UM’s efforts to empower academic leaders and staff, ensuring the sustainability of the R&R programme through the "train the trainer" model. You will work closely with UM’s Recognition & Rewards team, P&D (HR), and the University Library to contextualise and deliver training tailored to the institution's needs, fostering a shared understanding of Open Science and its role in career development and evaluations. You will be actively involved in informing the community about the training alongside the R&R communication advisor. Networking with relevant stakeholders is also an essential part of this task to support the culture change we are working towards with R&R.
We are seeking an engaging and experienced trainer who is passionate about empowering others and has the ability to connect with diverse audiences. You should have a solid understanding of training facilitation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to supporting cultural change within higher education.
