About the team

At Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center Maastricht, we are looking for a motivated Intern Product Owner to join our IT Product Ownership team.

You will be embedded in one of our Agile teams and work closely with experienced Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, and stakeholders across the organization. This is a hands-on role where you will gain real experience in how digital products are shaped, prioritized, and delivered in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment.

These will be your tasks and responsibilities:

As an intern within the CAC IT Product Ownership team, you will actively support the rollout of StarConnect, the Mercedes-Benz future logistics global case management platform. You will work alongside Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Test Managers, and business stakeholders during one of the most exciting phases of the program: the preparation and go-live of this product, which is part of a broader global rollout strategy. StarConnect is being deployed as a global solution for logistics case management, with users and stakeholders across the globe.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, refinements, sprint reviews, planning)
• International Stakeholder Collaboration (e.g., Support communication between business and IT teams, help prepare presentations, demos, and status updates).
• Support backlog management and documentation (e.g., user stories, Jira updates).
• Support Go-Live Activities (e.g., Assist with integration testing and regression testing activities, Participate in rollout readiness and hypercare activities).
• Help refine features and translate business needs into clear requirements.
• Contribute to improving how we communicate product changes and new features internally.
• Explore ways to simplify processes and enhance product documentation (e.g., Confluence setup).
• Support Product Owners during Agile Release Train (ART) events and cross-team collaboration,
• Investigate improvements in user feedback loops and value tracking after feature delivery.
• Participate in identifying and shaping AI use cases within the Agile Release Train (ART) to increase efficiency and create value across teams.

This is what we are looking for:

• Currently studying a Bachelor’s degree (IT, Business IT, Data, or similar).
• You are eager to experience firsthand how a global enterprise platform is brought to life, from testing and training to cutover, deployment, and post-go-live support across multiple international markets.
• Interested in Agile ways of working (Scrum/SAFe is a plus).
• Comfortable communicating in English (our working language).
• Analytical and structured, but also creative in thinking.
• A team player who enjoys working with different profiles (tech & business).

We offer you an internship in a multicultural, dynamic, and informal international working environment:

• 5-6 months full-time internship, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (onsite at the office);
• Internship compensation, € 800,- gross per month based on 40 hours per week;
• Starting date: Februay / March 2027
• The internship needs to be a part of your study program (during the whole internship), graduates are not allowed to apply.
