About the team
Shape the Workplace Experience of Mercedes-Benz in Maastricht! We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Facility Manager to lead our operations.
If you combine strategic vision with a hands-on approach, and are passionate about creating a safe, efficient, and inspiring environment for employees and visitors alike, we want to hear from you. In this role, you will ensure seamless facility management, optimize efficiency, and drive cost-effectiveness with own cost center responsibility.
The team consists of seven dedicated professionals who ensure smooth operations across all aspects of our workplace environment. Their responsibilities span all facility management activities, including building, terrain, and supplier management. External reception hosts and various suppliers complete the setup.
These will be your tasks and responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and develop the team of facility staff and reception hosts to high-performance, fostering a culture of ownership, efficiency, transparency and strong collaboration
- Strategically oversee and continuously optimize all facets of facility management, encompassing building infrastructure, terrains and supplier relationships
- Assume full accountability for overall facility performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives to elevate standards
- Demonstrate exceptional prioritization skills, distinguish critical objectives from secondary tasks to maintain strategic focus and manage conflicting interests and resistance with professionalism, empathy, and decisiveness
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations provided by law and/or company policies
- Manage budgets and deliver measurable results in cost adherence and increasing service quality
This is what we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Facility Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Facility Management or significant Operational Leadership roles.
- A highly experienced, decisive, proactive and people-centric professional, consistently delivering results with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Strong ability to maintain focus and prioritize effectively within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Expertise in conflict resolution and managing complex stakeholder relationships with tact and confidence.
- Certified Head BHV (Bedrijfshulpverlener/Emergency Response Officer) or a commitment to obtaining certification promptly.
- A proven track record of quantifiable achievements, such as significant cost reductions, efficiency gains and/or successful leadership/coaching initiatives.
