Cloud Team Lead in Sittard

As a Cloud Team Lead, you combine hands-on cloud expertise with leadership, guiding cloud and platform engineers while driving modernization initiatives. Together with security, architecture, and infrastructure teams, you help build secure, scalable, and future-proof cloud solutions that support business growth and innovation. You are:

• Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable and secure Azure cloud platforms;
• Leading daily cloud operations, including monitoring, IAM, patch management, and incident resolution;
• Defining and enforcing cloud governance, security standards, and best practices;
• Driving cloud transformation initiatives focused on automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, and platform standardization;
• Optimizing performance, reliability, and costs with a strong FinOps mindset;
• Leading an outsourced team that operates as an integrated part of our organization, enabling strong collaboration and long-term development;
• Collaborating with internal teams and vendors while coaching the cloud team on knowledge development and ownership.

• A gross monthly salary between €3.951 and €5.643, based on your experience and knowledge;

What do you bring?

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) and knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks
• Experience with monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery in cloud environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills;
• Proven experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
