Team lead Account Receivable Collections in Sittard

As a Team Lead Accounts Receivable Collections, you continuously work on improving and optimizing existing processes. You identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and actively contribute to enhancing operational performance. Additionally, you are responsible for the timely collection of outstanding receivables in several countries.

You ensure the right balance between financially responsible actions and supporting commercial growth objectives. Finally, you act as a sparring partner and backup for the Manager Collections or other Team Leads, taking over responsibilities when necessary to guarantee continuity within the department.

In this role, you will be working in the head quarter office of Boels in Sittard and you are responsible for:

• Managing and guiding the Collections team in central Europe, including coaching, performance management, and monitoring KPIs;
• Coordinating and handling complex collection cases and escalations, including legal processes and collaboration with external parties;
• Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payments, cleaning up general ledger accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records;
• Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, internal policies, and guidelines in the areas of compliance, privacy, and financial control;
• Initiating and implementing process and system improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within Collections;
• Managing relationships with external service providers such as collection agencies, bailiffs, and software vendors, and ensuring compliance with agreements and SLAs.

What do you bring

• Bachelor’s level of working and thinking;
• At least 3–5 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an international organization;
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and financial software such as SAP;
• Strong communication skills, excellent change management skills, and a problem-solving mindset;
• Organized, precise, and accurate;
• Excellent command of English; Dutch is a plus.
