Teamleader Cash & Banking / Intercompany

The Parcel Accounting team in Maastricht was created 4 years ago and grew rapidly from 5 to 19 colleagues. We are a team of enthusiastic colleagues and with an average age of just above 30 years we have a soled mix of new insights and experience. Currently we are responsible for the accounting of four administrations within Parcel Benelux. As the market shows rapid growth and is always changing a part of our day to day activities consists of working at innovative projects like RPA or process improvements. Our Accounting team is divided into three teams; Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Cash&Banking/Intercompany.
As a teamleader you are reporting to the Manager Financial Accounting of DHL Parcel. You are responsible for leading a team of 6, you manage the resource planning, safeguard the quality of the work and motivate and develop your teammembers.
You are involved in the reconciliation of the various accounts payables clearing accounts in accordance with performance and quality standards. You are able to process GL postings and journals for entries related to Bank-in-transit accounts. You are responsible for risk management according to internal GL guidelines and you provide auditors with all relevant information related to Bank-in-Transit and Intercompany accounts. You are responsible for the review Intercompany and Cash and Banking related GL postings and journals and you perform Intercompany month-end closing activities. Your prepare and process IC related accruals and provisions and
ensure compliance with IFRS and DP DHL guidelines
You assist the Manager in job-interviews, coaching, development and evaluation of the agents and will be able to act as his back-up. You are involved as a project member in new projects within the Parcel division.
Ideally you have a bachelor/university level and at least 5 years experience in an accounting environment. You have strong people management and strong interpersonal skills and have approximately 3 years of managerial experience. Besides managing the team you like to be involved in the day-to-day work. Knowledge of cash & banking and intercompany is essential.
You have strong Excell skills and are experienced in using different ERP systems (eg. SAP & Oracle). Your language skills in English and Dutch are fluent. You are customer oriented and a business acumen.
