Quality of Life

Noorbeek in Zuid-Limburg

It is a mystery that companies in Limburg do not mention in their vacancies that Limburg is the ideal province for work and living. The experiences of Randstad residents that moved to Limburg are evident for this positive image of Limburg. Most of them do not wish to leave the province ever again.

Everyone is aware of the bottlenecks in the Randstad (agglomaration of cities in the Netherlands). Waiting lists for schools and day care centres, working late, traffic jams and no parking facilities near the house are the usual state of affairs. What's the point of having a successful career, without the time to enjoy life as well?

Limburg does not have endless parking problems or traffic jams. Children can relatively quickly be placed in a good school or day care centre. You can work overtime, but it is not a matter of course. And after closing the office door, the centre of the country side is only a ten minute drive away. Limburg has friendly and easy going locals. Here people still have time for one another and a chat!

“To return to the south of Limburg was an intuitive choice. It is very important to me to feel happy and good in my close environment. Here I found balance in the triangle of work, life and living."

"I like to play golf, I play football twice a week and am captain of a darts team in Beers. But my favourite hobby is travelling!  Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore are my top destinations and I've seen almost all countries in Europe.

I want to take a four week trip through Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and Belize with my girlfriend this year. It's easy to travel long distance from North Limburg thanks to the presence of airports nearby such as Airport Weeze and Düsseldorf International Airport."
